NEWISH OLDISH TRENDS FOREVER and ALWAYS

Remember: the lifespan of your favorite wool item depends on proper care

Please follow the instructions carefully.

To best maintain the original quality of wool hand washing is highly encouraged for all woolen and wool blend items at a temperature of 30°C. However, for some wool felted clothing, scarves etc., machine washing is allowed. In this case make sure to use delicate cycle or the “WOOL” mode and cool water. Only use soft powders specifically designed for woolen items. It is better to turn the product inside out (if applicable) and place it in a special mesh bag meant for delicate clothing when using washing machine.

Woolen items should not be soaked for a long time (no more than 2 hours)

Soak woolen items for no longer than 2 hours. Avoid rubbing or twisting for the original shape to remain.

The washed item is to be carefully blotted and wrapped in a terry towel. It is recommended to dry wool-felted items in an unfolded and in natural straightened position. Lay it on a flat surface with water-absorbing properties, such as a terry towel), having previously given them the appropriate shape. Allow items to be dried by natural air and evaporation to avoid shrinking and decolorization. For the same reasons dry your wool away from direct sunlight.

Iron woolen items through a damp cloth. When dealing with volumed texture or patterns, prevent shapes from becoming flat by treating them with steam instead of ironing.

Note that properly dried wool often does not require ironing.

One curious fact to keep in mind: Merino wool has the ability to self-clean, all thanks to the scaly structure of the wool hairs. The fibers repel contaminants in a unique way when they interact and rub against each other. This property ensures that items made from merino wool remain clean for a long time.
